Yes, it’s hard to walk a block without the aroma of fresh roasted beans wafting from a corner java joint. In spring through late fall, barely a day goes by without a farmers market bursting to life in one of the city’s neighborhoods. Travel just a bit outside of town and you’ll be surrounded by fields where these farmers grow their goods. It’s what helps make Portland a culinary epicenter, and worthy candidate to be called “Restaurant City U.S.A.”
